"Navasard" Armenian-Iranian Cultural Culinary Festival
On August 10, the already traditional “NAVASARD” Armenian-Iranian cultural and culinary festival will take place in the city of Sisian, Syunik region.
The festival is organized by the Armenian Tourism Federation and Armenian Culinary Traditions Development and Preservation NGO with support of Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, and in cooperation with Syunik Regional Administration (Marzpetaran), the Municipality of Sisian, the Cultural Center of the Iranian Embassy in the RA and the Consulate General of Iran in Kapan.

Great atmosphere
The Armenian and Iranian teams participating in the festival will cook in pavilions and present the diversity and history of their cuisine, starting from the Urartian–Achaemenid period. Songs, dances, music, works of art, handicrafts will be presented in the cultural and musical areas, and the appearance of “Ike” will be shown on the screen. Before the aforementioned main part of the festival, a competition will be organized between participating teams in various categories, and at the end of the festival, a prize-giving ceremony will take place.
From 02:00-04:00 you can visit the “Zorats Karer Settlement” historical and cultural reserve for stargazing.
At exactly 04:00 you can watch the arrival of the constellation of HAIK.
